Edmund Dell
Edmund Emanuel Dell (15 August 1921 – 1 November 1999) was a British politician and businessman. ==Early life== Dell was born in London, the son of a Jewish manufacturer. In World War II he served in the Rifle Corps and the Royal Artillery, leaving as a first lieutenant. He was educated at Dame Alice Owen's School and Queen's College, Oxford where he was a member of the Communist Party, as his future ministerial colleague Denis Healey had been before the war. He graduated with first class honours in modern history in 1947.
